Steven Freeman has been a highly sought after and critically acclaimed photographer for a broad range of media and corporate clients for the past twenty-five years. His diverse client base has included print publications, advertising agencies, digital media companies, sports leagues, Fortune 500 brands, and private clients.

Steven's work is distinguished by his compelling use of light, his provocative narrative, and the authenticity of his portraiture. He is best known for his two-decade long portfolio of work for the National Basketball Association, as well as his high-profile cookbook collaborations with celebrity chefs including Emeril Lagasse and Patti LaBelle. He has also won significant commissions with government agencies including the White House, the State Department, and the United Nations -- assignments that included photographing President George W. Bush after 9/11, Bill Clinton on his final visit to New York City as President, and Richard Holbrooke as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. His covers of Time, Life, and New York Magazine as well as his work within the pages of Sports Illustrated, People, Entertainment Weekly, Good Housekeeping, and Redbook reflect both his creativity and his adaptability to a distinct variety of subjects and stories. One of Steven's early-career highlights was having his work displayed on giant billboards in Times Square, and on highways in Los Angeles and New Jersey as part of a campaign for the Food Network. Always exploring new stages and surroundings, Freeman has recently begun photographing jazz musicians, as well as members of the California wine community and the picturesque vineyards of that region.

A graduate of RIT and native of upstate New York, Steven is a long-time resident of New York City.
